Kara Murphy scored five goals as a junior, including two goals in a win over George Washington. She also added goals in games against Hartwick, Pacific and Maryland. Murphy also added seven assists and steals.
Murphy appeared in every game for the Tigers last season and contributed 10 goals, including two against Slippery Rock at the ECAC tournament. She also added goals in games against Santa Clara, Michigan, Maryland and George Washington. She had six goals in 10 games as a freshman. She scored against Villanova in her first game played and had a season-high three goals in a win against Cal State Monterey Bay.
Murphy was a four-year varsity starter at La Ca?ada High School. She was a second-team All-Rio Hondo League selection as a sophomore and a first-team selection as a junior and senior. Additionally, Murphy was a third-team All-CIF selection her junior and senior years. She was co-captain of the water polo team her senior year and a Senior Athlete of the Year.
