Maegen Zitren appeared in three games in 2006 as she battled through injuries most of the season. Zitren saw limited action but scored in two of her three appearances, scoring twice at Cal State Monterey Bay and once against George Washington.
Zitren scored 10 goals and added seven assists and four steals during her sophomore campaign. Zitren scored a single goal in 10 different games, including in wins over Arizona State and Bucknell in the Southern Championship game. She also scored in losses to Hartwick and UCLA.
Zitren had eight goals, 10 assists and 14 steals as a freshman. Before coming to Princeton, she played on the San Diego Shores team since 1996 and was a member of the water polo and swim teams at Valhalla High. The Valhalla water polo team won the league championship each year of her career. Zitren was named to the Union Tribune all-academic team her senior year, won a bronze medal, two silver medals and one gold medal at the Junior Olympics and was second-team All-America in 2001.
