Megan Charles appeared in eight games for the women's water polo team during her freshman season after swimming with the Princeton swimming team during the winter season. Charles appeared in Princeton's first two games of the season, registering a steal in the team's win over Villanova. She also made appearances against Colorado State, Whittier, Chapman and George Washington, firing shot attempts in the Whittier and George Washington games.

Charles competed for the Trinidad & Tobago national water polo team in the CARIFTA Championships in 2006 and 2007. Also a swimmer, she has represented Trinidad & Tobago in several Caribbean competitions, including the CARIFTA Games and the Caribbean Islands Swimming Competitions. A sprint free specialist, she competes for the Marlins Swim Club and has six Top-10 finishes in the Hyundai Maracas Open Water Swim competitions.
