Elyse Colgan won her third consecutive Southern Most Valuable Player Award after she led the Tigers in scoring for the third time in her career. She was also named an honorable mention All-America for the second time. Colgan scored 47 goals as a junior and added 23 assists in 25 games. She had either a goal or assists in all but one of the games she played in. Her season high of five goals came in a win against George Washington. Colgan was also first-team All-Southern and first-team All-Eastern for the third time in her career. She also received CWPA and AWPCA All-Academic honors and was an Academic All-Ivy.
Colgan scored 82 goals to rank ninth in the nation in scoring as a sophomore. She scored goals in 30 of 36 games played and had a season-high seven in a win over Hartwick. Colgan had four or more goals in five games. Colgan was also named first-team All-ECAC as the Tigers regained the ECAC championship.
As a freshman, she led the team with 70 goals, and she added 18 assists and 25 steals on her way to being named an honorable mention All-America. She was named the Southern Division MVP and to the All-Southern first team after scoring nine goals during the tournament, including four in Princeton’s win over Villanova. Colgan also earned ECAC Tournament second-team honors and was an AWPCA All-Academic selection in 2004.
