Julie Phillips played in 28 games as a senior and contributed nine goals, four assists, 12 steals and five drawn ejections. Phillips scored single goals in nine games, scoring in wins over Brown, Cal State San Bernardino, Sonoma State, St. Francis, Villanova, Harvard and George Washington. She also scored in a loss to Hartwick. She added assists to go along with her goals in the wins over Villanova and George Washington in the Eastern Championships. Phillips had four games in which she made two steals, in a loss to Pacific, and wins over Harvard, GW and Cal State San Bernardino.
Phillips appeared in all 30 games during her junior campaign, scoring eight goals and adding three assists and 13 steals. Phillips notched a pair of two-goal games, scoring twice in wins over Gannon and Iona early in the season, and scoring single goals against Brown, CSU Bakersfield, George Washington and Maryland. She added an assist with her goal in Princeton's Elite Eight win over Brown and also assisted on goals against Harvard and San Diego State.
Phillips played in all 30 games during her sophomore season and scored seven goals and nine assists, while adding 17 steals and drawing 18 ejections. Phillips scored single goals in seven games. She recorded a goal, assist and steal in wins over Mercyhurst and George Washington. She also had a goal and an assist in a win over Whittier and added a goal and a steal in a win over George Washington. Phillips added goals against Marist and Michigan and had a season-high three assists in a win at Chapman.
Phillips contributed 22 goals, 14 assists and 20 steals as a freshman. Phillips had a season-high three goals in a win over Maryland and had four two-goal games, including wins against Wagner, Colorado State and Pomona-Pitzer.
Phillips was co-captain and most valuable player on her school’s team in New Zealand. Phillips played for the team from 2002-06 and lettered the last three years. Her team placed third at the national championship in 2006, and Phillips was named the best offensive player of the tournament. She also won the school’s Gold Award for Outstanding Service to Sport and the trophy for Best Overall Involvement in Sport at school. Phillips played for New Zealand’s National Under-19 team.
