Tanya Wilcox appeared in all 29 games for the Tigers as a senior tri-captain. She matched her goal total from her junior year by scoring 14 times and added six assists, 35 steals and eight steals. Wilcox had a pair of two-goal games during the season and added single goals in 10 other games. She scored twice for the Tigers in a loss to Maryland in the ECAC semifinals and in Princeton's season-ending win over Harvard for fifth at the Eastern Championships. The senior added single goals in wins over Brown, Harvard, Concordia, Cal State San Bernardino, St. Francis and Villanova. Wilcox added one two-assist game during the season, which came in the season finale against Harvard. Wilcox ranked second on hte team in steals and drew a season-high of four in a loss to Indiana. She added three in a loss to Indiana. She finished the season with steals in 23 of the 29 games Princeton played.
Wilcox played in 28 games as a junior, starting all but one game. She scored 14 goals during the season, converting on 35 percent of her shot attempts. A second-team All-Southern selection, she also added eight assists and ranked fourth on the team with 25 steals, while drawing 17 ejections. Wilcox recorded a pair of two-goal games, scoring twice in wins against Concordia and Maryland. Wilcox added single goals in 10 other games, including wins over Brown, Sonoma State and Hartwick in the Eastern third-place game. Her season high of two assists came in a win over Brown at the Princeton Invitational and her defensive efforts were recognized as she was named the Southern Player of the Week in mid-April after Princeton swept all three league opponents at home. Wilcox had two goals and drew an ejection in the three-game stretch.
Wilcox reached 20 goals for the second straight season as a sophomore. She also added 12 assists and 20 steals, while drawing 23 ejections. Wilcox was a member of the CWPA Scholar-Athlete Team. Wilcox scored goals in 15 games as a sophomore, scoring two goals on four occasions, in wins over George Washington twice, Brown and Marist. Wilcox added a season-high three assists in the Southern Championship game loss to Maryland and had a pair of helpers against CSU Northridge.
Wilcox posted 26 goals during her first season at Princeton and was received second-team All-Southern honors. Wilcox jumped out to a fast start with a season-high three goals and two steals in the season opener against Siena and six goals during the Princeton Invitational. Wilcox also had six two-goal performances. She also added three assists and 39 steals.
Wilcox was a member of the Palo Alto High School team that won the SCVAL league championship in a double-overtime game. The team placed third in CCS. Wilcox was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player of her high school team and of the SCVAL league. She was also a first-team All-CCS selection. Wilcox is a member of the National Youth Team Travel Squad.
