LEWISBURG, PA - Sophomore Amee Reyes recorded a hat trick and three other Princeton players also scored as the Tigers defeated Bucknell, 6-2, in women's soccer action Wednesday night.
The Bison got on the board first, when Katie McElligott scored eight minutes into the game. Princeton, however, would score three unanswered goals to go up 3-1 at the half. Reyes scored twice in the first half for the Tigers and Tanya Kalivas also scored for the visitors before the intermission.
Sarah Klang-Glienna drew Bucknell within a goal, 3-2, in the early moments of the second half. Reyes, however, answered that score with her third goal of the night, before Jennifer Lankford and Kelly Sosa netted goals for the Tigers to set the final at 6-2.
Princeton outshot the Bison, 17-4. Goalkeeper Dana Rofey started for Bucknell and made 10 saves before giving way to Andrea Fisher who made one stop.
BU is now 3-7 overall and will play at Colgate in a Patriot League match-up on Saturday. Princeton improves to 4-2.
