PRINCETON, N.J. - Just call it the Callaghan Connection. Jill and Andrea Callaghan scored one goal each to give Princeton a 2-0 loss in the season finale tonight at Lourie-Love Field.
After a scoreless first half, Jill Callaghan found the back of the net at the 76:15 mark after a nice move around the Princeton defender for a close range shot that slipped past Tiger keeper Jonna Iacona (Sr., Wyckoff, NJ) for the first goal of the game.
Just for good measure, the other half of the Callaghan Connection, Andrea Callaghan added a goal with only two seconds remaining for the two-goal win. After six unsuccessful shots, the Quakers connected on their last two shots of the game for the win.
Princeton's best scoring chance came midway through the first half when Amee Reyes (So., Wheeling, WVa.) headed a shot that went just wide of the left post.
Tonight's game was the final game for the Tigers. They finish the season 9-8 overall, 3-4 Ivy.
