PRINCETON OPENS SEASON WITH WIN AT LAFAYETTE

EASTON, Pa. - The Princeton Tiger women's cross country team began its season this morning with a win at the Lafayette Invitational. The Tigers won with a low score of 46 points, beating second place Moravian which had 72 points. A total of 11 teams participated in the season opening event.
Leading the way for the Tigers was Courtney Ebersole (Sr. Lebanon, Pa.) who finished third overall with a time of 19:09. Karen O'Neil (Sr., Medford, N.J.) was the second place Princeton finisher with an eight place overall finish. She crossed the finish line in 19:23.
Princeton garnered all its points with runners in the top 20.
The Tigers will next be in action next Saturday, Sept. 18 at 9:00 when they host the Princeton Invitational. The meet was originally scheduled for the afternoon of Sept. 17, but was moved to the following morning due to scheduling conflicts.
