PRINCETON, N.J. - Kelly Sosa scored her first goal of the year in Princeton's 1-0 victory over Boston University Sunday afternoon at Lourie-Love Field. Sosa scored in the 13th minute of the first half off an assist by Liz Bell, her first assist. Getting on the board early was the game plan.
"Both teams played big conference games Friday night and I think everyone was exhausted," said head coach Julie Shackford. "I knew that if we jumped on them early it would make all the difference in the world."
Jordan Rettig recorded her seventh shutout as the Tigers raise their record to 10-2 (4-0 Ivy League). Boston University is 9-5 (4-0 America East) on the season.
Princeton returns to action on Friday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. against Harvard.
