BALTIMORE , Md. - The Princeton women's soccer team lost consecutive games for the first time this season as Loyola College defeated the Tigers, 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at CND Alumnae Field.
The Tigers (10-4) lost their first Ivy game of the year on Friday night to Harvard at home. Coupled with today's loss, it is the first time the Tigers have had to deal with back-to-back losses all season. It was the second time Princeton has been shutout in as many games. Princeton has been shutout in three of its four losses.
The game was scoreless for much of the second half until freshman Sarah Raab intercepted a pass and chipped the ball past Princeton goalkeeper Jordan Rettig in the 77th minute. Rettig has given up seven goals through 14 games.
Princeton will face Cornell on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 4:00 in Ithica, N.Y.
