Princeton, N.J. - Princeton and Cornell faced bitter cold and windy conditions as they met on Saturday in Ithaca, N.Y. The game was scoreless at the end of the first half, and it was not until the 81st minute that a goal was scored.
Heather Deerin hit a beautiful corner, which Sherry headed in to the goal to put the Tigers up 1-0. Sherry would put in an insurance goal as she knocked in a rebound that Cornell's Meghan Cauzillo could not secure.
The win improves Princeton's record to 11-4-0 overall and 5-1-0 in the Ivy League, and they host SUNY-Stony Brook at 7:30 p.m. at Lourie-Love Field on Tuesday October 31st.
