Princeton Women Win ECAC Cross Country Championship

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Junior Emily Eynon paced Princeton to the title as the women's cross country team won the ECAC Cross Country Championship on Saturday. Eynon placed fifth overall in the 5k race with a time of 18 minutes 47.50 seconds. Sophomore Laura Shackelton placed 21st with a time of 19:13.30 seconds and Sarah Rivlin was 26th (19:24.90) for the Tigers.
Princeton earned 126 points, outdistancing itself from second place Seton Hall by 50 points. A total of 24 teams competed on the Van Cortlandt Park course.
Also for the Tigers were freshmen Kristee Sherry in 32nd (19:31.20),Laura Petrillo in 42nd (19:40.00) and Katie Reid in 59th place (19:58.30). Sophomore Becca Hylander finished 66th (20:01.60).
The Princeton men's team placed seventh out of 16 teams at IC4A Championship on the same course. The top finisher for the men was junior Kevin Gallagher in 38th place with a time of 25:57.50. Sophomore Joshua Ordway was 41st (25:58.40), freshman Jonathan Kieliszak was 46th (26:05.80) and sophomore Bruce Hancock was 54th (26:20.50). Team Scores-Women's (top-10)
