NEW YORK, N.Y. - Scott Denbo qualified for the NCAA championship with a second place performance in the shot put at the Jasper Relays this weekend. His mark of 59' 1" was his qualifying mark.
The 4x800-meter relay team of McFadden, Zysik, Whelton and Notary finished frist in the field with a time of 7:42.48.
Liam Morton finished fifth in the 35 lb. weight with a toss of 51' 5"
The Tiger sprinters had a good day with a third-place finish by Jerry Wilson and a fifth place performance by Cameron Atkinson. Wilson had a time of 6.98 and Atkinson clocked in with a time of 7.01.
The Tigers travel to Penn State next weekend for a three-way meet against the Nittany Lions and the UConn Huskies.
