Tigers Progress to Second Place at IC4A Meet

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Princeton men's track and field team has 31 points after the third day of the IC4A championships and is tied for second place with defending champion Georgetown. The Tigers trail Liberty by three points.
Princeton got a strong 10 points this afternoon from Scott Denbo (Jr., Nashville, Tenn.) who finished first in the shot put with a mark of 62' .25". He beat the second place finisher by more than four feet and improved his NCAA provisional qualifying status.
John Mack (Sr., New Haven, Mich.) finished second in his 200 meter qualifying heat to qualify for tomorrow's finals. The 10-time Heptagonal champion is looking for an IC4A title in his final collegiate meet. He did not qualify for the finals in the 400 meters.
Princeton's 4x400-meter relay team finished third in its heat and will not advance to the finals.
The meet concludes tomorrow afternoon.
