Tigers Set for NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene

PRINCETON, N.J. – Seven Tigers and a 4x400 squad will travel to Eugene, Ore. as the Princeton men's track and field team begins competition at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Wednesday at historic Hayward Field.
After a strong NCAA East performance in Lexington, the Tigers qualified in six individual events and the 4x400 relay.Â

The 4x4 relay squad of Jonathan York, Xavier Donaldson, Kavon Miller and Joey Gant set a new Ivy League record as they clocked in at 3:02.60 - besting the league record set by Princeton last year. The run was highlighted by sub-45 splits by Donaldson and Gant.Â

In the long jump, Greg Foster qualified for his second NCAA Outdoor Championships with a jump of 7.89m. After setting a new Ivy record three times this season in the event, with the latest 8.06m at Heps, Foster will look to claim his second First Team All-America honor after placing fourth in the event at indoor NCAAs.

In the distance events, Myles Hogan will represent Princeton in the 5000m and Jacob Nenow will race in the 10,000m.Â

After being ranked first in the steeplechase in the USTFCCCA's #EventSquad rankings most of the season, Princeton will have two race the event in Eugene in Brian Boler and Jackson Shorten.
Connor McCormick will compete in the 1500m, marking the senior's first trip to NCAA outdoors.
As he continues to chase a sub-45 400m, Gant will make his individual NCAAs debut at this year's championship.

The Tigers are led by Jason Vigilante, in his third year at the helm. All three consecutive Triple Crowns have been under his leadership. He was named the 2025 Indoor Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year, and the 2026 Indoor and Outdoor Ivy Coach of the Year.Â
