Women's Cross Country Takes 13th Overall

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y.-- Senior Tensai Asfaw led the men's cross country team on Saturday at the Iona Meet of Champions placing eighth overall in the 8k race with a time of 24 minutes, 51.3 seconds. Princeton finished third out of a field of 23 behind nationally ranked Iona and William & Mary as three other Tigers finished in the top 20. Tristan Colangelo (25:13.7) placed 17th followed by Wes Stockard (25:14.9) and Ryan Teising (25:15.6) right behind in 19th and 20th place.
The women's team was led by freshman Rebecca Snyder with a time of 22:24.7 in the 6k to place 58th overall. The Tigers finished 13th at the meet.
The women's cross country team will return to action on Oct. 6th for the H-Y-P meet in Cambridge, Mass. The men's team will compete next at the Lafayette Invitational in Easton, Pa. On Oct. 14th.
