Greenville, S.C. - Wes Stockard (Sr., Knoxville, Tenn.) led the Tigers to a 18th place finish in the black race at the NCAA Pre-National Invitational. Stockard finished 40th in the individual standings with a time of 25:28. Competing in the race were 223 athletes from 35 colleges and universities. Stockard had recently placed sixth at the Iona Meet of Champions, leading the Tigers to a second place finish in the meet.
Jon Bell (Jr., Raleigh, N.C.), and Ryan Teising (So., Naperville, Ill.) also had strong performances for Princeton at the NCAA Pre-Nationals finishing in times of 25:35 and 26:24.
Princeton sent several athletes to compete at the Leopard Invitational as teammates were competing in Greenville, S.C. On top five finishes by Bruce Hancock (Jr., Costa Mesa, Calif.) and David Silver (So. Vienna, Va.), Princeton captured the Leopard Invitational title with a team score of 38 points. Princeton defeated Columbia and Monmouth who finished in second and third place.
