Los Angeles, Calif. - Princeton's keeper Catherine Glenn (Sr. Jacksonville, Fla.) registered five saves in the match against Cal-Poly. The Tigers out shot the Mustangs 20-10, yet were unable to put the ball in the back of the net as the match ended in a 0-0 tie. Tonight's match was part of the inaugural Women's Cup tournament hosted by UCLA. Princeton moves to 6-0-1 on the season as Cal-Poly moves to 3-5-2.
Esmeralda Negron (Fr. Harrington Park, N.J.) and Janine Willis (Fr. Unionville, Ont.) led the Tigers with four shots each. Krista Ariss (Jr. Burlington, Ont.) and Kristina Fontanez (Fr. Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) each took three shots. In the seven games played this season, the Tigers have out shot their opponents 117 to 68.
Greta Shirdon, the Mustang goalie, had eight saves in tonight's match. Glenn's five saves tonight, brings her total to 24 this season. She has allowed only one goal in nearly 620 minutes of play.
The Tigers face No. 2 ranked UCLA at 4 p.m. EST on Sunday, October 7.
