Women's Cross Country Hosts H-Y-P Meet

Princeton, N.J. - - Emily Kroshus led the Tigers to a second place finish at this year's annual Harvard-Yale-Princeton meet. Kroshus finished third in the individual standings with a time of 17:41.6, Yale's Kate and Laura O'Neill finished 1-2 with times of 17:19.5 and 17:25.1. Yale was the meet champion with a team score of 21. Princeton finished with 42 points and Harvard wrapped up the meet with 71 points.
Kroshus had recently led the Tigers to a first place finish at the Central Connecticut Invitational. Princeton also had strong finishes from seniors Catherine Casey, who placed fourth with a time of 17:46.7 and Emily Eynon who placed eighth and ran the Battlefield course in 18:19. Princeton defeated Harvard 20 to 39 and lost to Yale 21 37.
Kate and Laura O'Neill recently led Yale to a fourth place finish at last week's Iona's Meet of Champion. Kate finished third and Laura finished in 12th place. With today's victory, Yale has won the last three H-Y-P meets. Princeton last won the meet in 1998.
