Princeton finished third of 29 teams at the NCAA Division I Mideast cross-country championships at Lehigh University.
The top two teams automatically advance to the NCAA championships, and several at-large teams will be added from the teams that finished third at the regionals. Princeton will not know for sure if it is one of the at-large teams until Sunday or Monday.
Jon Bell finished 11th to lead the Tigers, who had four runners in the top 15. Wesley Stockard was 12th, Tristan Colangelo was 14th and Ryan Teising was 15th. Princeton's fifth runner, Josh Ordway, came in 62nd.
Villanova went 1-2 with Adrian Blincoe and Ryan Hayden and finished first with 75 points, followed by Georgetown at 90. Princeton, running without injured No. 1 man Paul Morrison, had 114 points, ahead of La Salle and Penn State in the top five.
