PRINCETON, N.J. - Freshman Natalie Martirosian (Richmond, Va.) has been named the IvyLeagueSports.com Rookie of the Week for the week ending Nov. 4. This is her first rookie of the week selection of the year.
Martirosian scored a pair of game-winners last week as the Tigers won their eighth-straight Ivy League championship. She recorded the game-winning goal and an assist in Princeton's 3-2 win over Yale, then tallied another game-winning goal in a 6-1 win over Penn. Three of Martirosian's four goals this season have been game-winners. She has 13 points (4 goals, 5 assists) this season.
Princeton (15-2, 7-0 Ivy League) received an automatic bid into the 2001 NCAA Championships by virtue of its league title. The Tigers will find out who is next on their schedule when the sites and pairings for the first two rounds of the tournament are announced on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 8 p.m.
