Lauren Simmons Earns First-Team All-Ivy Indoor Track and Field Honor

PRINCETON, N.J. - Lauren Simmons (Jr., Nashville, Tenn.) earned first-team All-Ivy for the 2001 indoor track and field season with her win in the 800 meters (2:13.99) at the Heptagonal Championships Feb. 23-24.
Simmons was also a part of the mile relay team that earned second-team All-Ivy honors. Dale Maffet (Fr., Atlanta, Ga.), Simmons, Natalie Deffenbaugh (Jr., Columbia, Md.), and Liz Morse (Fr., Newport Beach, Calif.) placed second at Heps with a time of 3:49.43.
