Princeton Cross Country Places 10th at the 2002 NCAA Pre-Nationals

Tristan Colangelo paced the Tigers to a tenth place finish at the 2002 NCA Pre-Nationals. The 8,000m race was held on the Vern Gibson Course that will host the 2002 NCAA national championships on Nov. 25.
Colangelo crossed the finish line at 24:50 in 38th place. James Flannery was the next Princeton finisher with a time of 25:00 in 55th place. Austin Smith crossed the line at 25:03 in 60th place. Also placing for the Tigers was Josh Ordway and Mike Baird. Jon Klieliszak and Jeff Dichiara finished in 113th and 118th place out of 235 competitors
Kip Kangogo from Bringham Young was the top individual finisher with a time of 23:45.9. Stanford captured the meet title with 27 points, Northern Arizona finished in second with 92 and Bringham Young took third with 171 point. Princeton finished the meet with 326 points.
Dartmouth placed seventh with 264 points and a top five finish from Tom McArdle Harvard finished in 20th and Penn placed 26th
