Men Place Third at Cross Country Heptagonal Championships

New York, N.Y. - Tristan Colangelo paced the Tigers to a third place finish at the 2002 Cross Country Heptagonal Championships at Van Cortlandt Park. Colangelo finished fourth individually, crossing the finish line on the five-mile course in 24:55.1. Dartmouth captured the meet title with 56 points, Columbia finished in second with 63 and Princeton took third with 93 points.
Jon Bell finished in 9th place (25:07.3) and teammate Austin Smith finished in 10th, crossing the line at 25:07.4. James Flannery scored for the Tigers, finishing in 31st place with a time of 25:42.2. Jonathan Klieliszak crossed the finish line at 25:52.8.
Dartmouth's Jarred Shoemaker and Tom McArdle finished one and two at 24:36.3 and 24:36.4. For Dartmouth, this is its third consecutive cross country Heptagonal championship.
