Kilbourne Shines as Women's Hockey Defeates Colgate, 4-1

Princeton, N.J. - Andrea Kilbourne tallied a hat trick as the Tigers defeated the Red Raiders of Colgate 4-1 in women's hockey action. With the in Princeton improves to 3-0, 1-0 ECAC on the young season. Colgate slips to 3-4, 0-1 ECAC.
Heather Jackson got the Tigers on the board first at 6:32 in the first period when she knocked in a puck pass Raider goalie Rebecca Lahar. Lisa Rasmussen and Katherine Maglione were credited with the assists. Colgate answered with 1:07 remaining in the first. Amanda Barre scored for the Raiders with Becky Irvine and Micki King on the assists.
Then Kilbourne went to work.
Kilbourne scored her first goal of the evening with 2:58 gone in the second period when she took a pass from Annamarie Holmes. Also credited with an assist was Rebecca Stewart. Kilbourne scored her second goal when she bought the puck in unassisted and beat Lahar high.
Kilbourne earned the hat trick with 17:22 remaining in the third period. Jackson picked up the assist. Roxanne Gaudiel played the entire game in net for the Tigers recording 21 saves. Princeton outshot the Raiders 28-22.
The Tigers return to action when they host Cornell on Saturday, November 9 at 4:00 pm in Hobey Baker Rink.
