Anderson's Hat Trick Highlights 6-2 Victory over Northeastern

Princeton, N.J. - Gretchen Anderson scored her first goal of the afternoon with 13 seconds ticked of the first-period clock as the Tigers went on to defeat the Huskies of Northeastern 6-2 in women's hockey. Anderson tallied two more goals in the third period, picking up the hat trick. Princeton moves to 6-2-2 on the season and Northeastern slips to 5-7-1.
Anderson, who missed the beginning of the season due to injury, has scored five goals in four games this year. Susan Hobson put the Tigers up 2-0 at 15:52 in the first-period but Rebecca Paul of Northeastern pulled the Huskies to within one with seven seconds remaining in the first period.
The teams played a scoreless second period. Hobson found Tarah Clark in front of the net for the Tigers third goal of the match at 4:49 in the third period. Andrea Kilbourne found Anderson for the Tigers fourth goal at 6:23. Paul scored her second goal of match at 13:48 to close the score to 4-2.
Anderson found an empty net from her own blue line and 16 seconds later, Hobson netted her second goal of the afternoon as the Tigers cruised to a 6-2 win.
Princeton's Megan Van Beusekom recorded 28 saves for the Tigers. Northeastern's Marisa Hourihan had 17 saves in the loss.
The Tigers return to action on December 6 when they travel to St. Lawrence for a 7:00 p.m. match
