Friebe a Honda Sports Award Nominee

For the second straight season, Ilvy Friebe was named as a nominee for the 2002-03 Honda Sports Award Program's Field Hockey Award. Friebe finished the 2002 season ranked fourth in the nation in points (61), second in points per game, third in goals (25), and second in goals per game, as she led the Tigers to a 12-7 overall record.
The senior attack from Bonn, Germany was unanimously selected as the Ivy League and ECAC Player of the Year, and earned First-Team STX/NFHCA All-America, First-Team regional All-America honors and First-Team All-Ivy.
Other nominee's announced for the award were New Hampshire's Marcie Boyer, Michigan's April Fronzoni, and Old Dominion's Tiffany Snow, with the award being given to Snow.
