Men's Track and Field Captures Fifth Consecutive Indoor HEPs Title

Ithaca, N.Y. - The Princeton men's track and field team won four event titles on route to claiming it's fifth consecutive Indoor Heptagonal Championship. The Tigers, who were in third place after day one, surged ahead of first-day leader, Cornell to tally 127 points. Penn and Dartmouth finished tied for second with 81 points and Harvard finished fourth with 78 points. Cornell finished in fifth place.
Senior captain Tora Harris claimed his seventh Heptagonal high jump title, clearing 2.18m (7-01.75). Mike Weishuhn tied for second place in the high jump, clearing 2.09m (6-10.25). Paul Lyons captured the shot put title with a distance of 16.80m (55-01.50) and teammate Rocky Craley placed third in the event with a distance of 16.18m (53-01.00).
Jonathan Klieliszak captured the mile title with a time of 4:09.14 . The 4x800m team of Seamus Whelton, Ryan Smith, Klieliszak, and David Dean secured the championship for the Tigers as their first place finish (7:39.10) came late in the meet and moved Princeton out of reach from the other schools.
Cameron Atkinson finished third in the 60m with a time of 6.89. Christopher Lambert of Harvard captured the 60m title (6.73). Rob Hulick and Josh Kauke finished for and five in the 800m. Javius Wynn placed third in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.17 and finished second in the pentathlon with 3854 points.
The distance medley team of Kevin Gallagher, Alex Tingan, Rob Hulick and Tristan Colangelo took second place with a time of 10:07.71.
From the first day of competition, Josh McCaughey captured the weight throw title with a distance of 20.18m (66-02.50)
