NORFOLK, VA. - Demarque Hairston had two triples and scored four times to lead Old Dominion's 20-hit attack in a 13-4 victory over Princeton Sunday afternoon. ODU is now 7-9, Princeton is 1-3.
With the score tied at three in the sixth, Ryan Harvey (Riverside, CA.) tripled home Mike Croley. To start off a five-run outburst capped by a two-run single by Jared Musolf.
Hairston tied an ODU school record for triples in a game with two. He tripled in the first and scored on Snapps' rbi single. He then tripled in two runs in the seventh inning. He also had a triple in Saturday's second game to give him three on the season.
Senior lefthander Jonathan Tinkham (Chesapeake, Va. ) picked up his first win of the season. He fanned five and gave up six hits with three unearned runs.
Princeton scored three runs in the first with two outs. With the bases loaded Erick Voelker walked in Steve Young. Tim Lahey singled in Ryan Eldridge and Jon Miller. In the eighth, Brian Biegen sacrifice fly scored Voelker.
