en's Track Hosts Penn, Penn State, and Villanova, Takes Second Place

Princeton, N.J. - Senior captains Ryan Smith and Tora Harris placed first in the 800m and the high jump, respectively, to lead the Tigers to a second place finish in a meet that also featured Penn, Penn State and Villanova. Penn State took the meet championship with 190 points. The Tigers finished second with 184 points, Penn finished third with 170 and Villanova placed fourth with 106 points.
Smith captured the 800m title with a time of 1:48.22. The time makes smith a provisional NCAA qualifier and placed him less then a second off the Princeton record (1:47.41) held by Omar Simmons '92.
Harris' 7"1-1/2" mark in the high jump earned him first place in the high jump competition and also made him provisional qualifier for the NCAA championships.
Princeton's Dwane Branton placed third in the long jump with a distance of 24'3-3/4" (7.41m) Jonathan Kieliszak and Kevin Gallagher placed second and fifth in the 1,500m with times of 3:53.49 and 3:54.91.
Princeton's Javius Wynn captured the 110m hurdles title in a time of 14.96. Tristan Colangelo and Michael Baird took first and second in the steeple chase with times of 9:11.23 and 9:15.37.
Josh McCaughey captured the men's hammer title with a distance of 199'6" (60.82m) and Rocky Craley took the men's shot championship with a distance of 54'1-1/4" (16.49m)
