Lauren Simmons sets Princeton 800m record, 2:05.23 at Duke Invitational

Durham, N.C. - Senior Lauren Simmons captured the 800m title with a time of 2:05.23 at the Duke invitational, shattering the old school record (2:07.83) she set last season. Her mark is the fastest in the nation this year and provisionally qualifies her for the NCAA championships. To automatically qualify, you have to hit 2:05.00 or under.
Princeton's Brooke Minor tied for first in the high jump with three other competitors clearing, 5'7.75" (1.72m). Lidsey Stefan from St. Francis and Nicole Parker of Northeastern also cleared 5'7.75". Chelo Canino cleared 11'11.75"(3.65m) in the pole vault to finish tied for third with two other competitors.
Emily Eynon finished sixth in 10,000m with a time of 37:18.22
