Men's Track Hosts Iona, Manhattan and Rutgers, Tigers Take First Place

Princeton, N.J. - Dwayne Banton's first place finish in the 100m in a time of 10.86 seconds helped the Tigers finish first in a meet that featured Iona, Manhattan and Rutgers. Princeton took the meet title with 211 points. Rtugers placed second with 159 points, Manhattan finished in third with 83 and Iona finished in fourth with 58 points.
Solomon Barnett finished second in the 100m with a time of 10.93 seconds. Patrick Schottel took first in the 200m with a time of 22.00 seconds. Barnett's time of 22.19 seconds placed him in third. David Dean captured the 800m title with a time of 1:53.00 and Jon Bell finished first in the 1,500m with a time of 3:49.39. Teammate, Jon Klieliszak finished in second in 3:49.49.
Matt Spring of Manhattan captured the 3,000m in a time of 8:13.64 and Chris Mammone of Iona finished first in the Steeple in 9:19.33.
Tora Harris finished first in the high jump clearing 7'1-1/2"
Tyler Bengtson of Princeton finished second in the Sam Howell Decathlon with 6946 points, setting a new personal record and qualifying for the IC4As. Bengtson score is the highest score in the Ivy League this season.
