PRINCETON, N.J. - Michelle Buffum (Sr., San Jose, Calif.) and Kellie Cramm (Jr., Laguna Beach, Calif.) combined for 27 digs, but Princeton could not overcome opening game jitters and suffered a 3-0 (30-26, 30-26, 30-27) loss at the hands of St. John's in women's volleyball action on Friday night at Dillon Gym. The Red Storm improve to 6-5 with the win.
Jackie Ahlers led the way for the visitors with a game-high 19 kills and 11 digs. Sarah McCrary added 15 kills and a game high 12 digs.
Cramm added a team-high 10 digs for the Tigers. Jenny Senske (Fr., Long Beach, Calif.) registered 36 assists in her Princeton debut.
Princeton will host St. Peters in another non-conference matchup at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17 in Dillon Gym. The Tigers open the Ivy League season at Penn on Sept. 7 at 7 p.m.
