Studer, Cramm Lead Women's Volleyball To First Win Of 2002

PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior Abby Studer (Signal Mountain, Ga.) recorded 13 kills and zero errors while teammate Kellie Cramm (Laguna Beach, Calif.) had 16 kills and one error as Princeton earned its first women's volleyball victory of the season with a 3-0 win over St. Peter's.
Studer and Cramm led an offense that recorded an attack percentage of .364 for the match (53 kills, 9 errors in 121 attempts). Senior Michelle Buffum (San Jose, Calif.) finished with eight kills and a team-best eight digs. Freshman Jenny Senske (Long Beach, Calif.) also recorded eight digs, but she proved most effective as a passer, leading the Tigers with 30 assists in two games. Classmate Marissa Becker (Newport Beach, Calif.) took over as the setter in the third game and added 11 assists.
Princeton had to overcome early deficits in the second and third games. The Tigers rallied from 6-3 down early to cruise to a 30-17 win. Princeton had a season-best .469 attack percentage in the game. St. Peter's battled deep into the third game, but numerous kills by Studer led a final surge by the Tigers.
Alma Qose had a match-high 35 assists for St. Peter's, while Tzvetomila Dotcheva led the team with 12 kills.
Princeton will compete at the Rider Tournament this weekend.
