Volleyball Finishes Perfect Weekend With Pair Of Sweeps

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - The Princeton women's volleyball team won nine straight games at the Rider Tournament, including 3-0 wins over Fairleigh Dickinson and Sacred Heart to conclude play on Saturday. Kellie Cramm killed a team-best 44 balls during the weekend, while Kerry Song had 29 digs in the final two matches.
Princeton opened Saturday's play with a 30-16, 30-15, 30-24 win over Fairleigh Dickinson. Cramm and senior Michelle Buffum each had 15 kills, while Ashley Weber added 11 kills. Setter Jenny Senske had a career-best 41 assists, while Song led all players with 20 digs. Four different players recorded at least 10 digs. Princeton took control early, hitting a match-best .441 in the first game (16 kills, one error).
The Tigers had similar success in a 30-25, 30-15, 30-20 win over Sacred Heart to conclude the weekend. Fourteen Tigers played in the match, and eleven recorded at least one dig. Cramm was the only player with double-digit kills (11), although the team ended the match with twice as many kills (46) as Sacred Heart (23). Princeton had 13 aces, including a team-best three from Dale Maffet.
