Men's Track and Field Defeat Navy 77-66

Annapolis, Md. - Princeton earned top-place finishes in the shot put and weight throw as the Tigers defeated the Midshipmen of Navy 79-66. Today's dual-meet match-up was a preview of the competition that the Tigers will face at the indoor Heptagonal championships come March.
Josh McCaughey and Mark Smith finished first and second in the 35lbs. weight throw. McCaughey's mark of 62'05.25 earned him the title. Smith's mark of 53'09.00 put him in second place. Rocky Craley captured the shot put title with a mark of 53'00.00 and teammate Paul Lyons finished in second with a distance of 51'00.25.
Cameron Atkinson finished first in the 55m dash, crossing the finish line at 6.56 seconds. Josh Kauke, Jeff key and Mike Kopp finished one, two and the in the 500m dash with times of 1:05.06, 1:05.94 and 1:06.00.
Adrian Mullings and Raymond Lenihan finished second and third in the 55m hurdles with times of 7.77 and 7.86 seconds. David Gary (47'04.25") and Marcus Ford-Bey (45'11.75") placed first and second in the triple jump.
David Dean captured the 800m title with a time of 1:55.75 and teammate rob Hulick finished third, crossing the line at 1:56.13. Michael Baird (4:06.62) finished first in the mile and Jonathan Kieliszak finished third with a time of 4:13.11.
