Tigers Compete at New Year's Invitational in Women's Indoor Track

Four Princeton athletes won their respective events at the New's Year's Indoor Track Invitational held at Princeton's Jadwin Gym Sunday.
Junior Leslie Warren won the 300-meter dash. Her time of 41.88 was an entire second better than the second-place finisher. Sophomore Diane Heiser had an equally impressive performance in the 1000-meter run, finishing in a time of 3:00.02 that was nearly two seconds better than Christine Carter of Columbia.
In the 60-meter hurdles, senior Hasina Outtz ran a 9.08 in her preliminary race and then an 8.95 in the final to win the event handily. Junior Jennifer Byrd jumped 17 feet, 7.5 inches (5.37 meters) to win the long jump event.
Princeton's 4X400 meter relay team of Outtz, Warren, Laura Landry and Liz Morse won that event by nearly four seconds over a team from Rutgers.
Princeton's next meet comes on Jan. 10 when the Tigers host Rutgers and St. John's at Jadwin Gym.
