Women's Basketball Suffers 73-60 Loss At Brown

Providence, R.I. - Freshman Rebecca Brown posted a double-double and the Tigers outscored the Bears in the second half, but a 19-point halftime deficit doomed Princeton in its loss at Brown on Friday night. The Tigers fell behind 40-21 and finished the game 13 points with a 73-60 final score.
Brown led all scorers with 23 points and 15 rebounds, career highs in both. Junior Kelly Schaeffer scored 19 points and played a team-high 36 minutes for Princeton. The Tigers shot 44 percent from the field in the second half after posting a 31 percent shooting clip in the first.
Brown led the whole game and was led itself by Tanara Golston, who had 17 points and six assists. Sarah Hayes chipped in with 15 points for Bears, who move to 11-9 overall and 5-2 in the Ivy League.
The Tigers fall to 7-13 overall and 2-4 in conference play. They play at Yale tomorrow. Game time in New Haven is 7 p.m. and can be heard live on WBUD AM 1260
