PHILADELPHIA - The Princeton open crew topped Dartmouth by more than 15 seconds Saturday to finish first in a three-boat race at Penn. The Tigers swept all four races, including a hard-fought victory in the second varsity eights.
The Tigers started with a pair of wins in the varsity fours, and then they followed by topping Dartmouth by 1.2 seconds in the second varsity eights. The big race of the day proved to be less competitive, as Princeton took the first varsity race in 6:14.5, well in front of Dartmouth's time of 6:29.9.
No. 5 Princeton returns to Lake Carnegie Saturday to race against George Washington, Rutgers and No. 12 Ohio State University.
