The Princeton women's soccer team is ranked 25th in this week's NSCAA/adidas Division I poll. The Tigers moved into the rankings after sweeping UNC Greensboro and Saint Louis at the Princeton Invitational last weekend.
The Tigers head west this weekend to face Sacramento State Friday night and then California, the No. 10 team in this week's poll, Sunday. The game Sunday will match the No. 4 teams in the Mid-Atlantic and West region rankings.
SoccerBuzz magazine had Princeon as one of six teams also receiving votes in its poll and also had the Tigers were ranked fifth in the region.
Princeton is 3-0 on the young season and has outscored its opponents 9-2. Sacramento State is 1-3, while Cal is 2-0-2.
Princeton returns home after the trip to California to open its Ivy League season against Yale Sept. 27. That game will be played in Princeton Stadium and will follow the men's soccer team's game against Hartwick.
