EASTON, Pa. - James O'Toole ran the five-mile Lafayette course in 26:14.2, finishing in second place, to lead Princeton to a second-place finish at the Leopard Invitational cross country meet hosted by Lafayette Saturday morning.
O'Toole led three Tigers in the top 10. Jeff Bryne placed sixth (26:22.1), while Wayne Hopp was right behind in seventh (26:26.2).
Columbia had five runners in the top 12 and won the meet with 37 points, while Princeton was close behind in second place with 52 points.
The College of New Jersey's Brian Donovan was the race winner. He was the only runner to finish the five miles in less than 26 minutes, completing the course in 25:45.5.
Charles Ballew finished 14th overall for Princeton, while John Schwerkoske completed the Tiger scorers with a 23rd-place finish.
