Princeton's eighth-ranked women's soccer team needs one win in its final two Ivy League games to win an outright championship, with the first opportunity Friday night at Cornell. Before the Tigers can worry about that, though, there is a Wednesday afternoon (5) game against Syracuse as Princeton puts its school-record 13 game home winning streak on the line.
New friends - Princeton defeated Syracuse 3-1 a year ago in the first meeting ever between the schools.
New York state of mind - Princeton's next three games are against teams from Central New York, beginning with the Syracuse game and then continuing Friday at Cornell and Sunday at Colgate.
Sizzling - Princeton has won eight straight games.

On schedule - Syracuse is playing its final game of the season; Princeton still has four regular season games remaining.
Working overtime - Esmeralda Negron's overtime goal against Harvard Saturday night was the fourth overtime goal of her career and second overtime goal against Harvard. A league of their own - Princeton can win the outright Ivy championship with a win in either of its remaining two league games (Friday night at Cornell, Nov. 6 at home against Penn).
More league - Princeton would win the outright Ivy title with a win or tie against Penn or a Penn loss to Brown this weekend, regardless of the outcome of the Princeton-Cornell game.
Last league - Princeton is looking to win the Ivy title for the fourth time in five years after not winning a year ago. D plus - Princeton has allowed five goals in 1,188:30, or one goal every 237.7 minutes.
Point, counterpoint - Princeton has outscored its opponents 33-5 and outshot its opponents 232-84.
Conference call - Princeton is 2-0 against the Big East this season, having defeated Villanova and Rutgers.
Net results - Madeleine Jackson has a 0.17 goals-against average, best in Division I. The Princeton single-season record is 0.48, set by Dodie Colavecchio in 1985.
More net - Princeton has not allowed goals in consecutive games this season.
Can you spare a dime? - Maura Gallagher and Esmeralda Negron are tied for fourth all-time in assists at Princeton with 13. They need one to tie Lynette Prescott '84 for third.
Gimme a minute - Romy Trigg-Smith is the only Princeton player to have played every minute of every game this season.
Poll cats - Princeton is ranked eighth in this week's NSCAA coaches' poll, the highest ranking in school history. Princeton is sixth in the SoccerBuzz poll and ninth in the Soccer America poll.
