Open Crew Improves To 3-1 By Topping Columbia, Rutgers

PRINCETON - The Princeton open crew improved to 3-1 in 2004 by easily topping Columbia and Rutgers Saturday on Lake Carnegie. The Tigers finished in 6:43.0, more than 20 seconds faster than either of its foes in the top varsity race.
Princeton also claimed wins in the second varsity race and the top novice race. The second novice boat fell to the five-time defending national champion Princeton lightweight crew. The open women will race against Cornell and Harvard next weekend in Ithaca, while the lightweight women will race for Knecht Cup next weekend in Camden, N.J.
