Lauren Simmons ran a 2:04.0 in her semifinal heat of the 800 meter run at the U.S. Olympic Trials Saturday night, a time that did not qualify her for Monday's final.

Simmons, running in the first of two heats, finished 1.45 seconds away from the top eight and a spot in the final. She finished 12th overall in the event.

Simmons, a 2003 Princeton grad, won the von Kienbusch Award her senior year as the Tigers' top senior sportswoman.
