Women's Hockey Opens 2005-06 Season With Tie Against BC

Buffalo, N.Y. - Juniors Kate Hession and Alison Ralph scored goals as the Princeton women's hockey team kicked off the 2005-06 season with a 2-2 tie Saturday afternoon against Boston College at the Nichols School Tournament.
Princeton is now 0-0-1 on the season and began the season with a tie for the second time in as many years. Last season Princeton opened the year with a 4-4 tie at Providence.
The Tigers opened the scoring 1:45 into the second period when Hession tallied a goal to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. Junior Kim Pearce assisted on the goal. Boston College answered at the midway mark of the period on the power play with a goal by Sarah Feldman to knot the score at 1-1.
Ralph made the score 2-1 late in the second period on a goal set up by senior Tarah Clark and Hession as Princeton took a 2-1 lead to the locker rooms after two periods of play.
Boston College scored the games final goal with just 2:37 remaining on the power play to force the tie. Neither team scored in overtime.
