Princeton, N.J. - The Ivy League champion Princeton field hockey team added two more honors to its 2005 season as sophomore Paige Schmidt was named the league's Player of the Year and freshman Sarah Reinprecht received the Rookie of the Year award. Five Tigers received All-Ivy honors.
Schmidt, who was a second-team All-Ivy selection last season, led the League with her 11 goals and was a unanimous selection to the league's first team. She started all 17 games for the Tigers and had a League-best 29 points on the season. She was twice voted the Ivy League Player of the Week.
She becomes the 12th Princeton player to win the league's Player of the Year award. Two players have won it multiple times. The Player of the Year has worn Orange and Black in five of the last six, and 11 of the last 13 seasons.
Reinprecht earned the Rookie of the Year honor after starting all games for the League-champion Tigers and dishing out three assists. She was named to the second-team All-Ivy list along with her Rookie of the Year acknowledgement. She becomes Princeton's 13th Ivy League Rookie of the Year. A Princeton player last won the award in 2003.

Ford chipped in one goal and one assist this season while being an anchor in the midfield. Senior Hillary Schmidt was named to the league's second team along with Reinprecht.
