Princeton, N.J. - The Princeton women's track team defeated Penn 72.5-54.5 Saturday afternoon in an indoor meet at Jadwin Gymnasium. Highlights of the meet included: Brooke Minor winning the high jump by tying her personal record of 5'8", Jenn Byrd winning the hurdles and the long jump, and Juliette Poussot winning the 60 and 200 with personal records in both.
Poussot won the 60-meter dash in a personal record time of 7.79 and posted her second record time in the 200-meter dash at 25.32. Penn's Jesse Carlin too the 400 in 59.99, just ahead of Princeton's Chanel Lattimer. Cack Ferrell won the mile by four second with a time of 4:53.61, edging Carrie Strickland and Caroline Mullen. Penn's Christina Morrison won the 800, topping Princeton's Lindsay Cole and Caitlin Tormey.
In the 3000, Catha Mullen topped Penn's Claire Duncan by seven seconds to earn the win. Byrd took the 60-meter hurdles and complemented the win by also claiming the top spot in the long jump with a jump of 5.46 meters.
Minor tied her personal best of 1.73 meters in winning the high jump and Courtney Regan placed second in the pole vault. Princeton's Marta Pardo won the triple jump with a leap of 11.17 meters.
Penn won both throwing events in the pit, with Charity Payne winning the shot put and Charli Tabler taking the hammer throw.
The two teams split the relays. Penn won the 4x400 be three seconds, while Princeton's team of Karen Aherne, Liz Bergold, Caroline Mullen and Cack Ferrell defeating Penn by 17 seconds.
Princeton returns to action next Saturday for the HYP meet at Yale.
