Cack Ferrell Finishes Third in 3,000 Meters at NCAA Indoor Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Princeton junior Cack Ferrell earned All-America status Saturday night at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships by finishing an impressive third in the 3,000-meter run.
Ferrell's time of 9:24.20 was less than two seconds behind champion Renee Metivier of Colrado and just a few tenths behind second-place Adriana Pirtea of UTEP.
A Minnesota native, Ferrell also earned All-America status last season at the NCAA indoor meet.
Ferrell was one of five Ivy League athletes to compete at the NCAA championships, and all earned All-America honors including Yale's Lindsay Donaldson, who finished just behind Ferrell in fourth place in the 3,000 meters.
