PRINCETON, N.J. -- Freshman Beth Dalmut recorded her second home run of the season this afternoon at 1895 Field, but it wasn't enough as Princeton dropped two games to Towson. Dalmut recorded her second homer of the season as the lead off batter in the seventh inning and scored the final run for Princeton in game two.
The Tigers' first two runs came in the bottom of the fifth. Junior Erin Snyder hit a bouncing single up the middle to lead off. Freshman Lauren Bierman backhanded a high line drive then quickly fired at first base to catch the runner trying to get back. Snyder, stretching, caught the ball on the bounce in time to complete the double play and retire Towson.

Schaus (9-6) allowed four runs off seven hits in the game, but collected eight strikeouts in the circle. Jessica Wides of Towson earned the win with three runs off five hits against her.
In game one, Princeton got on the board in the fourth inning after Ries took a wild pitch from Jessica Fisher. Towson's catcher lost the ball, giving Dalmut just enough time to run in from third base. Dalmut hit a lead off double to advance to base.
In the seventh inning the Tigers attempted to get a rally started, as sophomore Stephanie Steel hit another lead off double. Sophomore Tiffany Andras' single moved Steel to third and a sacrifice to right field by junior Cristina Cobb-Adams sent Steel in for the second run.
The scoring for Towson started in the second inning as Nina Navarro hit a homer over the left-center field wall with a runner on to score the first two runs of the game. Later in the third, Aimee Rosa sailed a long ball over the center field wall with a runner at second giving the Tigers of Towson a 4-0 advantage. Rosa hit another homer in the seventh to close out Towson's scoring.
